Kawasaki Precision Machinery

Kawasaki Precision Machinery (KPM) is one of the leading engineering companies in the word, leading the way in hydraulics and supplying equipment for a huge range of applications, including industrial, construction and marine. Tellonline has been working with KPM for many years, and we launched a new project with them with the following objectives:

  • Bring website up to date with regards to design and structure
  • Improve the user experience and make the site responsive
  • Match the global Kawasaki brand, which had been updated since their last website development
  • Develop the intranet area to allow distributors to log in and view their own unique pricing and documents
  • Upgrade from 3.2 to a newer version of Kentico

What happened next?

  • KPM now has a vastly updated site, in terms of functionality, appearance, user experience, and responsiveness, which adheres more closely to Kawasaki’s brand guidelines
  • The homepage is structured much more simply than before and effective site navigation is easier.
  • The site was upgraded from 3.2 to 8 and was built in parallel with the existing format to allow the client to copy their existing content across.
  • The Distributor Zone has been implemented and now allows KPM’s suppliers around the world to log in and view information relevant to them easily, and KPM can utilise a secure area to deliver information. It also features an express order system that allows the user to order parts with one click.
  • KPM now has a newly upgraded CMS along with the training and support for staff to be able to manage and edit their own content.
“We are very pleased with the work Tellonline have done to update our website. They worked with us to understand our needs and created something a lot more modern, helping to maintain our reputation as an innovative company. The new Kentico system is a lot more user friendly than our previous CMS desk. It’s easy to navigate and allows you to pin the most useful icons to your dashboard, making it even quicker and easier to use. As a result, it gives us greater control over the design of the website and allows us to make updates quickly and easily.”
